The Maharashtra State Government is running a very beneficial scheme for farmers called the Namo Shetkari Yojana. Under this scheme, the state provides additional financial assistance to farmers who are already registered under the PM Kisan Yojana.

For your information, the Namo Shetkari Yojana was launched along with the PM Kisan Yojana, but the actual benefits started reaching farmers only from last year. So far, farmers have already received up to the sixth installment under this scheme. However, some farmers in a few districts of Maharashtra have not yet received the 7th installment.

The government has assured all PM Kisan registered farmers who haven’t received the 7th installment that the pending payments will be credited soon.

Namo Shetkari Yojana

Farmers who have received benefits from the previous installments under the Namo Shetkari Yojana know that each installment provides ₹2,000 as financial assistance. Similarly, in the 7th installment, eligible farmers are receiving ₹2,000 again.

Those farmers who are beneficiaries of both the PM Kisan Yojana and the Namo Shetkari Yojana will receive a total benefit of ₹4,000 this time.

Eligibility Criteria for Namo Shetkari Yojana

The 7th installment under the Namo Shetkari Yojana is being released only for farmers who meet the following conditions:

• Farmers who have been regularly receiving all the installments under the PM Kisan Yojana.
• The farmer’s bank account must be linked to DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer).
• The farmer’s KYC verification must be completed successfully.
• The farmer’s main source of income should be agriculture, and he must cultivate his own or marginal land.

Inspired by the PM Kisan Yojana, the Maharashtra government launched the Namo Shetkari Yojana to provide additional financial support to small and marginal farmers who are economically weaker.
